Clean Wisconsin a statewide environmental advocacy organization is seeking a Communications and Design Specialist for our downtown Madison office.
Job Description:
This half-time position reports to the Public Relations and Media Specialist in order to accomplish all aspects of Clean Wisconsin communications. The Communications and Design Specialist is responsible for promoting Clean Wisconsin and its program campaigns by:
• Producing and editing The Defender quarterly newsletter
• Managing the production of collateral materials such as:
• Clean Wisconsin’s annual report
• Special program reports
• Fact sheets
• Brochures
• Fliers/Posters
• Direct mail
• Graphics
• Displays
• Partnering with public relations and media specialist to manage Clean Wisconsin’s Web site
• Assisting in the creation of budgets, development of communications plans, and the reporting of grant work accomplished.
• Other duties include writing board and staff biographies and maintaining the photo, graphics and publication libraries
Qualifications:
Qualified candidates must demonstrate:
• An ability to produce compelling creative documents
• Effective writing, editing and project management skills
• Familiarity with basic design concepts and printing techniques
• Ability to work independently, think logically and manage time effectively in a fast paced work environment
• Proficiency in MS Office, Publisher and Contributor, or other Web design software
• Ability to remain consistent in message usage
• Ability to work independently and successfully manage multiple projects autonomously
• An interest/familiarity with environmental issues
