I prefer the fusion power and isn’t solar power that too. Fresh clean power for everyone. We should study possibilities of that harder!

Solar power is really the only way to go. We all need to do our part to spread the word. It’s just about getting the word out that solar and going green takes “just about the same effort”.

Good news indeed. But before investing in photovoltaics, homeowners should be encouraged to invest in solar thermal for heating home water. Right now this is more efficient and had a much quicker payback that PV panels. Obviously is people want to do both, great, but if funds are tight (and for most of us they are) solar thermal makes a lot more sense as an initial investment. Sure, in time PV will become more cost effective, but we are not there yet.

Too bad that nuclear power is so much more efficient than any other energy source. It’s always good to see though that engineers are developing renewable energy sources to be more and more efficient, but it’s still a long shot to get all the needed energy from renewable sources. Not gonna happen in the following 100 years in my opinion.

Solar PV offers the best hope of getings us out of this energy crisis. Right now its silicon based but we should see a whole load of alternatives come though such as thin film.
