Statement by Ann Mesnikoff, Federal Policy Director, Environmental Law & Policy Center
“Today, the Environmental Protection Agency officially vacated a flawed, dangerous policy that threatened public health while giving polluters free rein. The previous administration’s ‘Strengthening Transparency in Regulatory Science’ rule was an effort to censor science, letting political appointees reject or accept public health studies for political reasons.
“The Environmental Law & Policy Center welcomes this move by an administration dedicated to sound science and public health.”
