ELPC Commends Janet McCabe EPA & Brenda Mallory CEQ Nomination Advancements

ELPC Commends Senate Committee for Advancing Nominations of Janet McCabe as EPA Deputy Administrator and Brenda Mallory as Chair of White House Council on Environmental Quality.

“The Environmental Law & Policy Center commends the Senate Committee on Energy and Public Works for voting today to advance the nominations of Janet McCabe to serve as Deputy Administrator of the Environmental Protection Agency, and Brenda Mallory to serve as Chair of the White House Council on Environmental Quality. Both Ms. McCabe and Ms. Mallory bring impressive intelligence, talent, and environmental law and policy experience for protecting healthier clean air and safe clean water for all.

“Janet McCabe is a highly regarded champion for better clean air, improving children’s health, and healthy communities. Ms. McCabe brings Midwest values of fairness, wisdom and hard work to her EPA leadership role in helping accelerate sensible climate change solutions and a safe clean environment for all.

“Brenda Mallory has many years of effective legal advocacy and analysis on conservation and environmental justice issues. Ms. Mallory’s expertise is important for her CEQ leadership role to improve the National Environmental Policy Act guidelines after four years of the Trump administration backsliding.”
