Press Release

Senate Should Move on Build Back Better Act

Statement from ELPC Executive Director Howard A. Learner

“ELPC welcomes the House passage of the Build Back Better Act. This package includes essential investments and programs to tackle the climate crisis,” said Environmental Law & Policy Center Executive Director Howard A. Learner. “From tax credits for renewable energy and electric vehicles, high speed rail funding, support for transit and access for communities who most need it, and a significant investment in the Rural Energy for America Program, the Build Back Better Act will put us on a path to a clean energy and green economy. We must act on the climate crisis and this bill will accelerate action. We urge the Senate to take up this bill quickly and send it to President Biden to sign into law.”
