Seth Watkins

Owner, Pinhook Farm

Seth Watkins is the fourth generation of his family to steward Pinhook Farm, established by his great-grandfather in 1848 in southwest Iowa. Today, Pinhook Farm is home to a herd of Angus cattle, a flock of Katahdin sheep, several hives of honey bees, and thousands of newly planted trees. Seth credits the farm’s success to prioritizing stewardship over production, working to build a resilient agricultural system that works with nature rather than against it. A recognized advocate for conservation and regenerative agriculture, Seth is committed to protecting Iowa’s land and water while demonstrating that environmental stewardship and productive farming can go hand in hand.
