Max Lopez

Max Lopez is an Associate Attorney at ELPC. Max is engaged across program areas, but his main focus is on the Great Places Great Lakes team where he works to protect clean air, clean water, and natural places throughout the Midwest. Max enjoys playing soccer, cooking, and spending time with family and friends during his free time.

WHAT’S A PLACE YOU LOVE IN THE MIDWEST?

Promontory Point or “The Point” in Hyde Park is where I have the best memories with friends along the lake.

WHAT DRIVES YOU TO DO THIS WORK?

I was initially drawn to this work because of the existential threat of climate change. Along the way, I have become more motivated to focus on the environmental injustices and inequities caused by and comingled with climate change and pollution.
