Associate Attorney

The Environmental Law & Policy Center seeks to hire a public interest environmental attorney advocate with 0-3 years of experience following law school for an Associate Attorney position in any of our Chicago, Des Moines, Grand Rapids or Minneapolis offices starting in September 2022.

Clean Energy Attorney-Grid Transformation

ELPC seeks to hire an experienced public interest litigation attorney to play a lead role in ELPC’s rapidly growing Midwest Electricity Grid Transformation program.

Senior Natural Resources Attorney

ELPC seeks to hire a skilled public interest litigation attorney with 10+ years of strong federal and state court litigation experience to work on natural resources preservation legal and policy advocacy.

Senior Natural Resources Scientist

ELPC seeks to hire a Senior Natural Resources Scientist with a Ph.D. (preferred) or an M.A. or M.S. in conservation biology, water science, or related fields to focus on science-based public interest environmental advocacy to protect the Midwest’s public lands, the Great Lakes, wildlife and biodiversity

ELPC seeks to hire a full-time Foundation Grant Writer to expand our foundation grants program and manage current grants as needed.

Administrative Assistant

ELPC seeks to hire a full-time Administrative Assistant in our downtown Chicago headquarters to provide administrative support, including data input, research, and scheduling to members of ELPC’s policy staff.

Internships at ELPC

Science and Policy Internship

Policy and Science Interns assist ELPC’s Senior Policy Advocates, Policy Associates, Communications Staff and Economists/Financial Analysts with a variety of tasks, including: work on clean energy projects across the Midwest and Great Plains, clean energy business development, promoting environmentally sustainable transportation policies and projects, preserving our natural resources and protecting our national forests, advancing global warming solutions, grassroots advocacy work, and special projects.

Legal Interns: Summer 2022 

ELPC seeks to hire 1L and 2L law student interns for Summer 2022. Legal interns support ELPC’s state and federal litigation and policy work throughout the Midwest.
