If you own stock, you can give it to ELPC. You avoid capital gains tax and get income tax deduction equal to the current value of the stock. And, ELPC is able to put the full value of the stock to work without paying capital gains tax.
Many companies match donations to non-profit organizations. Check with your employer to see if you can double or even triple your gift to ELPC. You may also be able to contribute through EarthShare of Illinois or your workplace giving program.
Donor-advised funds allow you to centralize your charitable dollars in one account. These funds typically provide the maximum tax advantages and flexibility in grant-making along with secure online access to your funds. If you have a donor-advised fund, be sure to make ELPC one of your beneficiaries.
Planned giving can help you make a larger and more impactful gift than you ever thought possible. A planned gift to ELPC benefits you and your loved ones while protecting the environment in the Midwest for generations to come. Connect with ELPC’s Development Team to explore what type of planned gift makes sense for you and your family.
