Cameron S. Avery

Cameron S. Avery retired from the K&L Gates law firm, and its predecessor Bell, Boyd & Lloyd, where he was co-chairman. He served as principal legal counsel to hundreds of mutual funds and investment companies and a major long-distance telephone company, and was General Counsel of PathoGenesis Corporation (pharmaceuticals). He is also a director of Friends of the Green Bay Trail, a co-founder of Chicago Volunteer Legal Services, former Chairman of Harris Bank Winnetka, a former director of Habitat for Humanity Chicago and a life trustee of Ravinia Festival, Chicago Music and Dance (Harris) Theater, North Shore Country Day School and Chicago Sunday Evening Club (producer of television documentaries on WTTW/Channel 11).
