Chad Hughes

Chad Hughes is a Senior Associate Attorney at ELPC. His practice is focused on protecting the Great Lakes and other wild places in the Midwest. Prior to joining ELPC, Chad worked in private practice, as an environmental and land use attorney for the New York City Law Department, and as a clerk for the Honorable Myrna Pérez on the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit.

What’s a place you love in the Midwest?

The Chicago waterfront. I love great cities and the Great Lakes and am a strong believer in the environmental benefits of good urbanism.

What drives you to do this work?

A desire to do my small part to mitigate the harm of climate change and to ensure access to clean air, clean water, and a healthful environment.
