Illinois Government Affairs Representative
Genevieve Kwan is the Illinois Government Affairs Representative, working on current Illinois energy legislative issues. Prior to joining ELPC, Gen served as a legislative liaison and PAC manager for the Health Care Council of Illinois. She also worked at the Senate Democratic Victory Fund as a fundraiser and has consulted for non-profits. Genevieve enjoys cooking, playing tennis and spending time with friends and family.
One of my favorite places in the Midwest in the Mississippi River. Growing up in the Quad Cities, I spent my summers swimming, tubing and boating on the Mississippi river. Now that I live in Chicago, I love having access to the Lakefront trail. I enjoy walking, biking and relaxing with friends by the lakefront.
My Dad, an eagle scout, instilled in me to always leave a place better than you found it. I believe we all have a moral obligation to protect, conserve and preserve the earth for not only our generation but for future generations to come. Knowing that my work is part of a larger initiative keeps me motivated.
