Katie is a native Chicagoan with a B.A. in English from Loyola University Chicago. She has worked as a legal assistant with other law firms specializing in Personal Injury and Family Law.

What’s a place you love in the Midwest?

I love the Herrick Lake and Danada Forest Preserves in Wheaton. There are trails for walking and bike riding. The Danada Equestrian Center offers the opportunity to visit and ride the horses. In the spring, it is green and fresh. In the autumn, the changing of the leaves offer stunning views of the woods with its different hues of red, orange and yellow.

What drives you to do this work?

Earth is the only planet that supports life as we know it. It should be respected, cared for and appreciated for all it has given us.
