Max Lopez

Max Lopez is an Associate at ELPC. During his summers, he worked in the New York and D.C. offices at NRDC, focusing on clean air and clean water work. Throughout the year, Max was in the Environmental Law and Policy Clinic, working with an environmental justice community in North Carolina. Max enjoys playing soccer, baking, creative writing, and spending time with family and friends during his free time.

Promontory Point or “The Point” in Hyde Park is where I have the best memories with friends along the lake.

WHAT DRIVES YOU TO DO THIS WORK?

I was initially drawn to this work because of the existential threat of climate change. Along the way, I have become more motivated to focus on the environmental injustices and inequities caused by and comingled with climate change and pollution.
