Professor Barbara Peckarsky is a Professor Emeritus of Entomology and Stream Ecology at Cornell University and an Honorary Fellow in the Department of Zoology and Adjunct Professor of Entomology at the University of Wisconsin. She is a Senior Researcher at the Rocky Mountain Biological Laboratory. Her research focuses on the consequences of extreme hydrologic events associated with climate change on organisms in sensitive high-altitude stream ecosystems. Professor Peckarsky authored a textbook on the Freshwater Macroinvertebrates of Northeastern North America and served as Editor of Ecology (1997-2000), the publication of the Ecological Society of America.
