Associate Attorney
Rebecca Lowy is an Associate Attorney at ELPC. Her work focuses on addressing climate change and threats to the Great Lakes throughout the Midwest.
Rebecca earned her law degree from the University of Michigan Law School cum laude, and a M.S. in environmental policy from the University of Michigan School for Environment and Sustainability.
During law school, Rebecca interned for the EPA in Washington, D.C. and the Natural Resources Defense Council, and she served as a senior editor of the Michigan Law Review. Prior to law school, Rebecca worked as a geologist conducting remediation work throughout the New York City tri-state area and as a legal assistant on groundwater contamination lawsuits.
The Upper Peninsula in Michigan is so beautiful, especially the landscape along Lake Superior. Some of my favorite hikes have been the waterfalls and Presque Isle Park there, as well as Sleeping Bear Dunes.
Climate change and pollution are perhaps the greatest threats to humanity, and the Midwest is a particularly important region because of the Great Lakes. I hope to use my background and passion to help protect this critical environment for generations to come.
