Steve Falck

Steve Falck is a senior policy advocate at ELPC, working to build diverse coalitions that support innovative state and federal policies about water quality, soil health, clean renewable energy including solar and storage, and clean transportation solutions. Before joining ELPC in 2010, he was on the policy staff and legislative liaison for Iowa Gov. Tom Vilsack and Lt. Gov. Sally Pederson. Steve also was elected to the Iowa House of Representatives from his home district in Northeast Iowa. He was born and raised on his family farm and now lives in Des Moines.

WHAT’S A PLACE YOU LOVE IN THE MIDWEST?

My immigrant ancestors settled in the driftless region of Northeast Iowa and seven generations later our family still farms in the area. I enjoy bike packing on the trails and gravel roads around the driftless region.

My background in agriculture and my passion for protecting our natural resources give me a unique perspective for shaping innovative public policy.
