Energy Bills Relief Act’s Restoring Tax Credits Is Step in the Right Direction

WASHINGTON, DC — Rep. Sean Casten (IL) and Rep. Mike Levin (CA) have introduced the Energy Bills Relief Act to lower energy costs for Americans by expanding access to affordable, clean energy. While Trump administration policies have contributed to rising energy costs, this legislation seeks to deliver savings for ratepayers by restoring tax credits to accelerate renewable energy development.

Statement from Howard Learner, CEO, Environmental Law & Policy Center:

“Energy affordability and rising electricity bills are top-of-mind concerns for many Americans. Rep. Sean Casten’s (IL) and Rep. Mike Levin’s (CA) Energy Bills Relief Act provides a step in the right direction by reinstating and restoring sensible tax credits for households and businesses that invest in clean, renewable solar energy and energy efficiency improvements.  That’s a win-win for both energy affordability, reliability, and healthier, cleaner air for all.”
