Federal Legislative Director
Ann Mesnikoff is the federal legislative director at ELPC, working in Washington, D.C., with the Midwest Congressional Delegation and national coalitions to advance supportive clean energy, clean water and clean air, and transportation reform policies. Ann served as democratic counsel for the U.S. Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works. Before then, she worked as associate director, federal governmental relations for the Campaign for Tobacco-Free Kids, and as the director of Sierra Club’s Green Transportation Campaign.
Highland Park, Illinois, and Pentwater, Michigan! I loved visiting my grandparents in their home on Lakeside Place in Highland Park. I am lucky to have many of their paintings that capture rural Illinois from the 1930-50s in my home in D.C. I also loved visiting them in Pentwater, swimming in Lake Michigan, and hiking the dunes (and being able to take home the best maple syrup).
Being able to do even a small part to protect the environment for the next generation!
