Communications & Policy Advocate
Lena Guerrero Reynolds is the Communications & Policy Advocate at ELPC, where she works to educate our supporters with our impact and advance clean transportation opportunities across the Midwest. Her writing and editing skills have shaped a wide variety of ELPC’s written material, including blogs, social media posts, website content, emails, factsheets, and reports. She is also deeply engaged in the fight to fix and fund public transit in Illinois, to save Chicago’s intercity bus station, to expand passenger rail, and to ensure walking, biking, and public transportation are safe, affordable, and accessible to all.
Before joining ELPC in 2018, she worked in education and engagement at the UIC Latino Cultural Center, the Field Museum’s Keller Science Action Center, and the Jane Addams Hull-House Museum. She lives in Chicago with her partner and their dog, all three of whom love biking.
I love hiking the Indiana Dunes, fishing at Lincoln Lake in Trego, Wisconsin, and skating on Pine Lake in Marcellus, Michigan, among many other places. I also love exploring new gems across this fascinating and beautiful region.
Everything we value in this world depends on a healthy environment: our friends and family, our homes and businesses, our activities and adventures, our cultures and communities. I appreciate coming to work with brilliant people every day who make a difference in protecting the Midwest for generations to come.
