ELPC identified hundreds of Illinois businesses supplying the clean energy industry in our 2017 report — 290+ supplying the solar industry, 200+ supplying the wind industry, 130+ supporting geothermal energy, and 75+ supplying the energy storage and battery industry. These clean energy companies can be found in 105 of the 118 State House districts, including manufacturers, developers, installers, contractors, professional services, and more.
In this report, the ELPC team provides background on the policy landscape in Illinois, recommendations for further renewable growth, and a list of companies across the state in wind and solar energy businesses. There are accompanying maps and feature stories from companies doing this work everyday.
