Michigan Clean Energy Supply Chain Report

ELPC identified hundreds of Michigan businesses supplying the clean energy industry in our updated 2019 report — 249 supplying the solar industry, 137 supplying the wind industry. These clean energy companies can be found in 91 of the 110 State House districts, including manufacturers, developers, installers, contractors, professional services, and more.

In this report, the ELPC team provides background on the policy landscape in Michigan, recommendations for further renewable growth, and a list of companies across the state in wind and solar energy businesses. There are accompanying maps and feature stories from companies doing this work everyday.

“Electricity is a national security issue. Our current grid is our Achilles heel, it’s our weakest point. Generating solar energy domestically is the best way to ensure a safe and healthy future for the United States.” – Mark Haggerty, Founder of Michigan Solar Solutions, Wixom, MI

“Solar benefits a triple bottom line: it is generally something that is good for individual people, it can lower costs for homeowners and businesses, and it is environmentally responsible.” – Ian Olmsted, Founder of Peninsula Solar, Marquette, MI
